Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Neighborhood Speed Alert (Alerta de Velocidad en Barrios) uses information when measuring your speed and alerting you when you exceed a limit. The app does not require an account or sign-up to work.

2. Data we may collect
- Location (GPS): used in real time and on the device to calculate your speed and apply the limit of your saved places. We do not log or send your location to our servers.
- Saved places and settings (limits, tolerance, units, language, theme): stored only on your device.
- Technical information about the device and app version.
- Diagnostic data (errors or unexpected crashes).
- The device advertising identifier, if you use the ad-supported version.
3. Purpose
- Measure your speed and alert you when you exceed the limit plus your tolerance.
- Apply the limit of the places you save (neighborhoods and gated communities).
- Show speed and limit on CarPlay and Android Auto.
- Optimize performance and user experience.
- Show ads in the free version.
- Resolve support issues.
4. Location permission
Neighborhood Speed Alert requests location access solely to calculate your speed and apply the limits of your saved places. Processing happens on the device. You can revoke the permission at any time from your system settings; without location, the app keeps working in Simulator mode to test speeds manually.
5. Local data
Your saved places and all settings are stored only on your device, offline and without our own servers. You can edit or delete them from the app, and they are completely removed when you uninstall it.
6. Third-party services
- Google AdMob: the free version shows ads served by Google AdMob and its mediation networks, which may process device identifiers according to their own policies.
- In-app purchases: the remove-ads purchase is processed through the App Store or Google Play; we do not access your payment details.
7. Sharing
We do not sell personal data or share your location or saved places with third parties. Driving information stays on your device.
8. Security and retention
We apply reasonable measures to protect the information. Since the data is stored on your device, you control its retention: you can delete it from the app at any time.
9. Driving safety
The speed alarm is an aid and does not replace the driver's attention or compliance with traffic signs. Always use approved mounts and do not operate the app while driving.
